About This Game The gates of Heaven are closed shut; the realm of Hell consumed by flood. And in their wake, countless parallel worlds wither away, one after the other. The surviving angels and demons gather at the city they believe to be their final chance at salvation: the floating purgatory of "Tokyo Babel". Joined by humans, they embark on a pilgrimage across the seven layers of Babel, hoping to ascend Jacob's Ladder in an effort to re-open the gates of Heaven. Their journey would be an atonement toward the heavens. And yet, their plans fall into ruin as a group of pilgrims - their minds consumed by madness - set out to lord over the numerous layers of Tokyo Babel with the intention to wreak complete and utter havoc atop the floating purgatory. Amidst this neverending impasse, a lone youth is saved from the ruins of his devastated world - Tendou Setsuna, a man denied human treatment since birth. Joining his savior, Lilith - known as the Witch of the Night, he begins his journey across Tokyo Babel... ...yearning for an answer to a single question: Why he still possesses the will to keep on living. 6d5b4406ea Title: Tokyo BabelGenre: AdventureDeveloper:propellerPublisher:MangaGamerRelease Date: 31 Mar, 2016 Free Download Tokyo Babel .rar tokyo babel igg. babel tokyo scene. tokyo babel wiki. kuro tokyo babel. tokyo babel hcg. tokyo babel guide. tokyo babel tv tropes. setsuna tokyo babel. tokyo babel routes. tokyo babel. toshiba tokyo babel. tokyo babel game. tokyo babel vs battle. tokyo babel wikipedia. metatron tokyo babel. operation babel tokyo legacy. tokyo babel raziel. tokyo babel - blacktail butterfly. tokyo babel english download. tokyo babel visual novel. tokyo babel gameplay. babel tokyo club scene. tokyo babel cg. tokyo tower of babel wikipedia. tokyo babel review. adam tokyo babel. womb tokyo babel. tokyo babel samael. tokyo babel vn review. tokyo tower of babel height. tokyo babel music. tokyo babel pilgrims of the apocalypse. tokyo babel free download. tokyo babel op. tokyo babel characters. tokyo babel tradução. tokyo babel game trailer. tokyo babel pc. tokyo tower of babel. tokyo babel steam. tokyo babel manga. tokyo babel ending As a matter of fact, I believe Tokyo Babel to be the best VN Available for purchase on steam right now. Obviously, a title like this doesn't come out of nowhere, which is exactly I thought writing this might be useful. To begin with, Tokyo Babel is a good representation of everything Chuuni. It has everything from Quotes to Edge and lots of Action. What might make Tokyo Babel a bit different is how it develops most of its cast through battles. Doing this requires quite a lot of good writing to make it work, it also means that there is quite a certain bit of talking during those scenes. However, since all of these battles are to begin with Ideological it makes little sense for them to work and function like normal action scenes. In a way this style of writing is what sets Higashide apart from many writers. Higashide is capable of doing a lot with little text, the only problem with this is that the reader is also required to put some effort to understand the cast and their conflicts. This is by no means negative for Tokyo Babel, but it means that for each person the experience will be greatly different. Reading Tokyo Babel Guarantees you quite a lot of fun, at least 30 hours of fun, On the other hand, what you get once you are done, with these 30 hours or so, is completely dependent on you, the reader. It's your job to connect the dots and figure most of the cast inner conflicts. In a way that's extremely rewarding. However, i can understand that it's not completely something anyone will be comfortable with. Which is why you need to know this prior to reading Tokyo Babel. Tokyo Babel for the most part contains great character, Awesome Villains who you will never get enough of. Here i have to mention that technically each and every person in Tokyo Babel is a Villain of sorts. No one fights for the world or for the Goodness in their hearts for that is a weak reason to live. To Live is to Fight, and to fight you need a reason that is stronger than anybody and everybody. In short, Tokyo Babel is Great please buy it.. A solid and entertaining VN.Have played though all routes.Pros: - of very high production value and extremely polished- amazing voice acting and sound effects- multi-layered story and interesting plot twists- pacing in most parts is greatCons:- the atmosphere of the first 20 minutes deviates so much from the rest of the VN. What the hell?- the character Astaroth is pretty stupid in Lilith's route...Would recommend to all VN fans and anime fans (who haven't read any VN).. Tokyo Babel was such an emotional ride. It made me laugh, it had me shedding tears. The main reason I picked up Tokyo Babel was because of the voice cast, being a massive fan of voice actors and especially the main cast of Tokyo Babel made it quite an easy choice. The art was absolutely stunning, and the story description seemed interesting. What I didn't imagine was that Tokyo Babel would become one of my favourite Visual Novels. The Visual Novel is more than just a professional voice cast and pretty art, what really makes it so good is the overall story and especially the characters. Both the main and side characters were likeable and had good depth to them, even characters that didn't appear much had enough of a personality to not become a bland and forgettable character.Tokyo Babel is probably around 30 \u2013 50 hours long, depending on your reading speed and if you choose to complete everything in it. There are 8 endings in total, split into three different routes; Raziel, Sorami, and Lilith.I would say that Tokyo Babel is worth picking up even when it's not on sale, because the quality of the Visual Novel is amazing; It has a professional voice cast, stunning art, amazing soundtrack, interesting story and likeable characters.. This was amazingly done, I got it originally due to Samael having Karen's voice actor from the Monogatari series, but looking back there was much more than just good voice acting. This visual novel had amazing sounds, and even little screen movements and cg changes when combat started. The novel also was easy to get into and interestingly enough it got away from an a-typical school life setup; In a Shaft like producer fashion there was an extreme lack of any civilian or random person interaction, almost like the mains and supporting characters were the only existence. I think that was a great choice, as they cut out on any minor minion fights to focus on pushing the story forward. To the opposite extreme, this worked to prevent from having too many important characters be beaten just to advance the story. If I was to give a number to this game it would certainly be 11/10, of course my opinion might be skewed from falling into Koyomi's voice (Setsuna).. Bland characters, a lot of slice-of-life (boring sleep inducing conversations among MC and his harem) scenes, and a plot that portrayed all the religious/supernatural stuff in a superficial manner. Music is about average, art is decent, and the fight scenes are okay, but not enough to salvage this VN.. This is a visual novel that has somewhat flown under the radar in most circles. It is an all-ages novel and it tries to be an epic-fantasy type of novel lasting in excess of 30 hours. The premise is that all worlds, including all parallel universe type worlds have faced a mass-extinction event. At the same time, a ‘divine calamity’ occurs, flooding hell and closing the gates of heaven. As such, most demons and angels have been expelled into the dying worlds, with no way of returning home. Furthermore, this closure of heaven and hell also works on souls; so, if a demon or angel dies, instead of being resurrected in their respective ‘home’ of heaven or hell, they now die permanently.Such a frightening concept causes angels and demons to unite to work together in trying to solve the reason why God has all of a sudden abandoned all three realms. Humans of course, play a part, for it they who must make a pilgrimage across the levels of Purgatory (now re-christened Tokyo Babel) to reach the gates of heaven and… well, hopefully find answers.Trouble is, all who have set out thus far, don’t get very far. Most succumb to madness, ergo becoming enemies of the last city in Tokyo Babel called, Pandora. The story follows a superhuman Tendou Sestuna, who is sponsored by a Demoness Lilith, the angel Raziel and another human Sorami, as the four attempt their own pilgrimage across Tokyo Babel. There are three core storylines, each following Sestuna’s relationships with the trio of ladies, there’s a recommended order to play through in order to understand things clearly (angel – human – demon) and thus this novel necessitates a walkthrough unfortunately.I found this novel to be a frustrating experience because it tries too hard to be too many things at once. For example: It tries to be four different genres at once. It attempts to be a serious horror, super-heroic fantasy, romance and comedy all at once. It is very difficult for games and novels to blend two genres, never mind four at the same time.As such, there can be serious mood whiplash, you set out to fight a powerful foe, only to do a short comedic detour to a strip club so the ladies can have a laugh at your expense by dressing up for you. It’s part unnecessary fan-service, and partly poorly thought out story planning. The comedy parts are indeed funny though, don’t get me wrong, even the fanservice parts can be hilarious, but once they’re over it switches to a grim post-apocalypse sermon on religious, the reason for living and beings that can flay your mind and flesh within an instant. It is a severe mis-match of moods, and this continues because for some inexplicable reason each unique route has the protagonist building a romantic relationship with each of the girls, which could quite frankly be eliminated from the story completely, because all it serves to do is to continue to detract from the seriousness of heaven, hell and the world going whoops in a handbasket.Indeed, the horror introduction (which you can read via a trial version on Mangagamer I believe) is pretty much the highlight of the game. It fails to reach those heights for the rest of the 29 hours and multiple stories that it tells. Additionally, whilst the translation is good, it is at the same time somewhat ‘off’. It is difficult to put my finger on what exactly is the issue, but it feels like it needs to go through another edit. There are sometimes throw-away lines that don’t match up with the mood, or the previous dialogue, or completely unnecessary lines that just make you go ‘what?’ For example; A girl smelling like cotton candy, and that line pops up after a very serious discussion, it was completely out of left-field, it doesn’t ‘belong’ there.Saying all that, the art is very good – though I often wanted more and I wanted more 18+ gruesome scenes to be seeing. Remember: This is a world where demons and angels can succumb to madness, so seeing their handiwork when it came to torturing sane people was actually quite nice (in a bizarre way), but the game has to remember it is rated for all-ages (officially it is 15+), so it tones things down massively. If this had gone full adult-only (or 18+) I genuinely think the artists would have had complete freedom to hammer home the visual aspects of the horror elements of the story and it would have been all the better for it.Why tell me there's a field of blood with humans and angels impaled on stakes if all you're going to show is a bloody cotton field? Why say the skies are grey and then show... a blue sky? It's inconsistencies like this that let the whole experience down.Did I enjoy Tokyo Babel? I suppose so, in a way, though it became more and more of a slog as it went along. Even though choices were sparse and the story tries too hard to be ‘epic’ that it drags on too much, I genuinely did find the ideas presented in the novel to be interesting. It just needed to nail down what genre it wanted to embrace and it needed to not cater to being All-Ages and I think it would have gone from beyond ‘decent’ to something in the realms of exceptional. As it is, it is far too flawed for me to rate objectively any higher than a 6/10 and even so I can only give a 5 purely for serious visual novel fans. For anyone else, it’s a 4 for the muddled execution.. It is made for the kind of people who like this sort of thing and won’t appeal to people who are not already on board with it.First off NOT FATE STAY AT ALLThis is nothing like Fate Stay Night outside of being Anime inspired Visual Novel with a combat focus. If that is enough for you which it is for many people then that’s fine… But don’t buy this game because you like Fate Stay Key warning the people who compare this to Fate Stay Night must not have understood what made every character being motivated for reasons more than “we gotta do this because its needed” the clash of ideals and reasons fate is all about. Or the various ways it does intrigue or creates relatable interesting characters.Really poor use of its themeIt is a game about religion with no real discussion of it, used almost purely referentially.Blasphemy because it’s cool sort of stuff. Main character has a sword that uses the power of the seven deadly sins because its edgy and cool etc etc etc There are three characters that actually make use of their references, one doesn’t really bring that much, two stretches really far and relies on how disappointing the God reveal is to be note worthy, three is actually interesting because the character is conflicted even if it’s a totally shoehorned and forced sort of thing… As in its literally their nature just because forced sort of thing.Trying too hard to be cool He can also heal broken bones within the same paragraph he breaks them, shoot lightning, and fire. You break bones to increase the tension of a wounded character being in a disadvantageous position, but its only ever a very flimsy mirage. If you catch on quick it won’t take you long to never again ever feel tension in the novel. It’s got all the things you can expect from anime things trying too hard such as Alice in wonderland looking girls carrying scythes and making suggestive actions towards a totally disinterested stoic protag. The only things I remember about the characters are things that held me back from liking or relating to themMost of the characters are bland because they hold their most interesting character aspects as reveals, so you go most of every route without having any depth to the characters till the reveal happens, but its sort of been 10 hours at that point depending on how and what you read. Even with the reveals this game generally doesn’t grasp psychology well. The amount of “ this person is insane so they do crazy thing” that no one would do in that state or for the reasons they suggest is too frequent for my taste. Stuff that is supposed to be shocking is sort of unrealistic to the point of silly. Why are they wearing school uniforms in an apocalyptic setting? Characters that never went to school wearing uniforms? It’s because character design is hard stop thinking so much the VN isn’t designed for thinkers.Nothing really newAnime meta has gotten lazy. This game follows that trend. You will recognize voice actors and if you close your eyes you might not even notice they are playing a different character this time around. Chunni battle stuff just like chunni battle stuff that you have already encountered if you have read or watched enough manga/anime.SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILERThese are some things from the game that to this day are what I can remember about it.These are all spoilers so don’t read them if you think you like this kind of thing.Possibly read them if you are on the fence.> The protagonist acts distant from everyone/ motivated to do hero♥♥♥♥♥♥and risk his life even while constantly saying he doesn’t care about anything, because he blames himself for an entire world full of people going to war and everyone dying. He blames himself for this because he is a from a very technologically advanced society who apparently needed religion??? to keep a world of highly scientific assumedly educated people some hope…. So they created proto Jesus ( the main character) who for the sake of drama will die faster but is super human in most ways, Im still not sure how producing fire and lightning without killing himself is AN INNATE ABILITY FOR THIS SUPER HUMAN though not very smart for some reason… Apparently these scientist forgot to do anything with his brain because none of them knew anything about how the brain works. So they reveal this kid to be their new God and people buy this immediately because he can shoot lighting I guess.Kid tells them he isn’t Jesus but man made. Everyone starts killing each other. Main character blames himself for this and holds onto it for many years.> The angels find out they are no longer immortal… This realization is so devastating to them that they start killing themselves while laughing and having what is described to be somewhat ♥♥♥♥♥♥ic experiences because its sure creepy when the face and action don’t match right guys?its dumb. All the angels would become shut ins, not kill themselves.> God is some machine thing. That’s it you are welcome they never really go beyond that and it leaves more plotholes than anything else. But the great thing about “God” is you can pretty much put a rug over any plot hole by saying “beyond human understanding”. The floor still feels thin though. It’s honestly usually a bad idea to include direct meetings with God in anything meant to be taken seriouslyI could probably talk poorly on most things in the game such as each route having a sort of ecchi scene because” games like this require them” But I would run out of roomIt has a great budget and they made good use of it. But this game is only really going to appeal to the people it was made for. If you already know you will like it... you probably will. If you are on the fence you probably wont.
